Source note
Only daughter of Duval, the wealthy ironmaster of Alencon, and grand-niece of du Croisier; she was married in 1830 to Comte Victurnien d'Esgrignon with a dowry of three million francs, the money of the bourgeoisie thus saving the old house of Esgrignon. From Anne-Marie Meininger's genealogy of the Comedie humaine (1987), panels 3-4.
