Source note

Head of the noble Spanish house of Molina, counts of Nourho, which in the time of Philip II allied itself with the Flemish weavers Claes of Douai. From him the Spanish title of Comte de Nourho descended to Balthazar Claes-Molina, the seeker of the Absolute. From Anne-Marie Meininger's genealogy of the Comedie humaine (1987), panel 9-10.
