Welcome

Welcome to my personal website:

1. Its title is from the eponymous book, showcased in the first of this website's four sections, "Les Fleurs du Monde".

2. The second part is a miscellany of self-contained works of a literary or essayistic nature.

3. The third, "projects" will present a number of topics which have caught my interest, resulting in diverse treatments: statistical studies, classifications & compendia, book sketches, etc.

4. The last section will be a space for more personal recollections and musings.

What's new?

• Inaugural update

  • Fleurs du monde: the book is not fully completed, but the corresponding section of the website is enriched with extracts from the 80% that's written (relevant caveats are outlined in the warning page).

The General Structure page is a website-specific, very high-level summary of the main argument.

Among many more topics, you can already read about:

    • what philosophy, science, arts & techniques are.

    • how to build a rigorous logical language to describe the world.

    • the foundations of mathematics and the twentieth-century crisis that Gödel begot.

    • Quantum Field Theory and the Standard Model of modern particle physics.

  • Works miscellany:

    • A Proustian pastiche and the companion essay.

    • A few poems.
